chapter five

when i woke up this morning i knew that there were something strange about how mother was acting this morning. I started on my chores without having her to tell me to so i was hoping for some food of some sort. Today there were an accident, it all started when she came into the kitchen when i was starting to do the morning dishes she told me that i had 20 minutes to do the dishes and when i looked at her to say "okay" i noticed something very different about her, there was a glaze in her eyes that i have never seen before. Russell was grabbing at her pant leg while she was trying to talk to me and i think he pushed her buttons and instead of taking it out on him cause he is still little and he doesn't know any better she took it out on me. when she picked up a kitchen knife and starting swinging it around, i had a feeling something was going to happen, it all happened so fast.... one minute she was yelling at me as she usually does and the next all i felt was the pain in my upper belly where she stabbed me with the knife! i don't remember what happend next cause she said that i passed out but when i woke up i was in the bathroom and mother was bandaging my belly. im in so much pain right now. She is being really nice to be now, i had to finish the dishes but she gave me more time, after all the dishes were done she allowed me to come down here to the basement without doing anymore chores. she really surprised me when she came down here and asked me if i wanted to go outside and play with Stan, Ron and she even helped me outside.
